Part-Time Art Therapist

Schedule, Hours and Location

We are currently hiring a part-time art therapist, with possibility for growth to full-time, salary employee status within 6-8 months (if desired). Art therapist must be have ATR-P status no later than August 15, 2025. ATR-BC status preferred, but we can provide the required 1000 client contact hours and 100 supervision hours in order to sit for the Board Exam. This position will include direct service Monday-Friday. Hours are set at the beginning of each semester (January, June & September) and will vary each day, meaning some days will be 9a-5pm or 10a-6p, etc. The work week is comprised of direct client contact, office hours for planning and documentation, supervision meetings, and traveling in between clients. This position will include travel to Chagrin Falls, Mantua and Painsville during the day and the North Royalton studio after school.

Responsibilities, Populations & Types of Sessions

As a member of our team, you will be expected to provide individual and group art therapy sessions to children and adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, neurological needs, behavioral needs, etc. You will be expected to write treatment plans, keep accurate data, write clinical reports, and ensure that client schedules are maintained. You will participate in treatment team meetings and complete general administrative tasks, such as keeping your time sheet and recording student attendance.

Compensation

As a part-time art therapist, you're compensated for the direct service, office time and travel time at a competitive hourly rate. Once full-time, salary options are available.

You constantly have “last minute” things that pop up.
The thought of asking a question to a supervisor makes you nervous.
You are not comfortable with traveling to your appointments.
