Complete a case study under the guidance of a LPAT, ATR-BC
Observe 4-5 clinical hours each week (group and individual)
Attend weekly meetings to learn first-hand knowledge on how a clinical team works
Complete home assignments to expand your clinical, artistic, and professional knowledge
1. Be a current art therapy student (graduate level)
2. Be organized, punctual, and have reliable transportation.
4. Be willing and able to commit to 8-10 hrs per week.
5. Be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement, non-compete, non-solicitation agreement, and a hold harmless agreement.
6. Be able to pass a background check and/or drug test.
Applications are accepted September-November for a January start, January-March for May start and May-July for late August start. Two letters of reference (one professional, one personal) that speak to your organization, ability to participate in a team, and your character
An essay answering the following questions: What does it mean to be a member of a team? Why are you currently studying art therapy? What do you envision your dream job to look like? What is the biggest need the field of art therapy has? What is your artistic background? What experience do you have working with individuals with special needs or with mental health disorders?
