Schedule, Hours and Location
We are currently hiring for a part-time, contract positions, with possibility for growth to full-time, employee status (if desired). Music therapist must be Board Certified no later than August 15, 2022. This position will include direct service during the day and flexible Monday-Friday, including travel to community organizations, preschools and schools. Hours are set one month prior to the start of each semester (January, June & September) and can be tailored to your desired working times, but our most commonly desired sessions are from 10:00a-2:30p.
Responsibilities, Populations & Types of Sessions
As a member of our team, you will be expected to provide individual and group music therapy sessions to children and adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, neurological needs, behavioral needs, etc. You will be expected to write treatment plans, keep accurate data, write clinical reports, and ensure that client schedules are maintained. You will participate in treatment team meetings and complete general administrative tasks, such as keeping your time sheet and recording student attendance.
As an independent contractor, you're compensated for the direct service hours at a competitive hourly rate.

You can effectively communicate in written and spoken English.

You can work independently and seamlessly transition to a group model.
You are able to balance your work and your personal life, actively using self-care strategies.
This position is NOT for you if...
You constantly have “last minute” things that pop up.
The thought of asking a question to a supervisor makes you nervous.
You are not comfortable with traveling to your appointments.
